The overall purpose for this group of Lesson Series is to give students a solid foundation and understanding of the basic truths of the Christian faith as well as a trust in the Bible, the source of these truths. Following is a synopsis of each lesson series as well as the topics of the individual lessons.
Series: Answers to the BIG Questions of Life from Genesis and Job
Synopsis: After first establishing the dates and authorship of both Genesis and Job, from these two earliest books we have, the series goes on to answer these questions: How did we get here? What went wrong? Sub question: Who is Satan and what power does he have? Is there life after death? What about people who have never heard of Jesus? Why do innocent people suffer? How can we help people who are suffering?
Our God does not leave us in the dark with unanswered questions and fears about the biggest questions of life. He gave them to us early on in Biblical history, though many people don’t see this because they don’t know the correct dating of Job or the truth of the statements in it—this lesson series will help you understand the dating of it and then why you can trust these answers in it and Genesis.

Series: The Trinity
Synopsis: It is absolutely not true that the Trinity is a difficult to understand concept. Our God wants to be known and a proper understanding of the Trinity, along with salvation by grace, is one of the most important foundational truths you need in your walk with Jesus. This series, based on many Bible passages (not complex theology) will help you clearly understand your One God of Three Persons all sharing the same attributes. Helpful charts are included.

Series: The Bible as ONE Story and How we got the Bible
Synopsis: This series and the ones that follow are the foundation for why we can trust the teaching of the lessons that have gone before them on Bible805, all of which are based on the Christian Bible. An argument (and I had it with myself numerous times) could be made for putting this series of lessons first, but my final thinking was that I wanted to give people a reason to care about the trustworthiness of the Bible. The trustworthiness of the Bible matters if what we learn in it is of vital importance, which I trust the previous lessons have shown that it is. If, in contrast, we are just looking at history and validation of some old books that may or may not be important to us, why bother? But the Bible is of vital, life-changing, foundational importance to us now and forever and the following series of lessons will give you a firm foundation to trust in its content.

Series: How and why to read your Bible in Chronological Order
Synopsis: One of the biggest frustrations people have with reading their Bibles is that many of the books, and the Prophets are the biggest example, simply don’t make sense because they are not in chronological order— the dates that things actually happened. When you learn the content of these lessons and then read your Bibles in their proper order, it will be life changing. The www.Bible805.com website has Chronological Bible reading schedules if you’d like one before the updated versions of these classes.

Synopsis: We might trust our Bibles, but how are they different than the sacred scriptures of every other religion what also claims truth from God?
