For Bible805 to now be a legal, nonprofit ministry is an answer to many years of hard work and prayer. Please take time to read what follows for the background of it, all I’m doing now in it, and how you can help.
If you’d like to listen, I recorded it as a special edition of the Ministry Miscellany Podcast. Below is the audio recording–the rest of the blog continues after it:
In addition to live classes, for many years Yvon Prehn and Bible805 have created Bible-teaching materials, lessons, infographics, blogs, podcasts, and videos, and then made them all available for free (also editable and no attribution needed) to any church or ministry who wanted to use them anywhere around the world.
From Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, India, Pakistan, and China to all over the U.S., plus Canada, and so many other places, many have responded. I know I wouldn’t have received the response I have if I charged for the materials. They were created for churches in sometimes hidden places that had no resources, and without me advertising to any of them, it seems the Lord has honored it.
For those many years, the business my bi-vocational pastor husband and I had supported the Bible805 ministry and us. When the Lord suddenly took my husband home to heaven by an unexpected heart attack almost 2 years ago, I had to shut down the business, and I’ve lived on and supported the ministry from my savings. That is no longer possible.
I’ve worked very hard to make the Bible805 ministry a full-time, robust resource for both individuals to learn from and for anyone, any ministry, any church to be able to use, edit, repurpose the Bible lessons and related resources that I create. To see the results of my efforts, please check out the two videos here that are tours of the Bible805 website (www.Bible805.com), which has links to the lessons, podcasts, videos, and other resources and the Bible805 Academy (www.Bible805Academy.com) where you can see how churches can download, edit, modify and use them however they want to teach the Bible. These short videos will give you a good overview of what is available through the ministry.

What’s now–Weekly releases of content:
I’m committed, in my work to each week adding new resources to the Bible805.com site that include a 30-minute Bible lesson, that is often taught live and then always recorded and posted as a weekly podcast (available on all podcast channels—name—Bible805 Podcast), a video of my voice-over of the PowerPoint of the lesson (on YouTube), lesson handouts, and discussion guide. The material is then made available for download, editing, and repurposing through the Bible805 Academy. Recent lesson series have included—
- It’s not hard to understand the Trinity, when you understand what the Bible has to say about it
- From Genesis and Job, answers to the Big Questions of Life
- Ancient Prophets, Modern Messages
- The Bible805Academy.com site has additional lessons that include some that go through the entire Bible, some are topical, and others are on how to study and trust the Bible.
In addition to this core schedule of Bible lessons, each week I also do:
Two Hobo Soul podcasts—ten minutes or less of challenging and inspirational messages. The podcast is available on all podcast channels; look for “Hobo Soul Podcast.”
Additional materials that relate to the lesson or the ministry of Bible teaching that include new infographics that explain hard-to-understand Bible concepts, periodic postings on the Ministry Miscellany Podcast and blog, and updating social media and linking to the studies are also part of my work.
In summary, I create all the content materials (following much prayer and study), produce them in the various formats of classes, podcasts, videos, and blogs. I then distribute and market them.
This is my full-time work and I wake up every day so excited and thankful that the Lord has given me this wonderful calling.
Now I need your help
Needless to say, because I can no longer rely on an outside business to support me and the ministry, the costs in time, software, hardware, hosting, distribution as well as my personal support, need to be covered by donations, now all tax-deductible.
I have been doing this consistently for some time now as I didn’t want to ask for your support without a track record. I now have hundreds of resources, ones from the past are now organized and in addition, many new podcasts, lessons, videos, infographics, and editable teaching files, have been added, all available for free to any church or ministry, anywhere that needs them.
In addition, I knew I needed to be a bona fide nonprofit to credibly ask for support and for the tax deduction it provides. I wanted to wait until I got that in place to ask for it. It is now in place, and I am very excited to share the formal statement confirming it:
Bible805 is a fiscally sponsored project of the Christian Ministry Alliance. The Alliance is a U.S. registered 501c3 tax-deductible charity with the Internal Revenue Service and has a Candid Platinum Seal (formerly GuideStar), the highest rating available for nonprofit transparency and accountability. [Tax ID: 46-3408177]
This means all the donations given in support of Bible805 are tax-deductible and you will be receipted for them and will receive a statement you can use for taxes at the end of the year.
Your financial support is greatly needed and appreciated. One-time gifts are needed as I am restructuring many parts of the ministry to function better, and pledged ongoing support is especially needed as I restructure my life situation.
I know many of you have supported me with your love and prayers for years, and most of all, I ask that continue, but I also prayerfully ask now for your financial support. Know it will be conscientiously used for the advancement of the Kingdom of God and greatly appreciated by me.
