Sometimes, even just the New Testament is too much to begin reading the Bible
Especially if someone is new to the Christian faith, or find themselves reading the same Psalms day after day, they may not want to jump into starting in Genesis and may not know what else to do. I had many people in my classes that were in that situation and so after lengthy study and trying various things, I came up with the following book that is a great introduction to the Bible.
Start Here, a plan for curious people to begin reading the Bible
Paperback, $9.99
This book is literally about what the name suggests, a way to start reading the Bible, especially for people who are unfamiliar with it. It overviews selected books from the New Testament to give readers an overview of the Christian faith; it has suggested helps, including recommendations on what translation and Bible references to use, plus it has a printed schedule and journaling pages. This book is a great resource for a seekers’ class, new believers, as a gift to anyone who is curious about the Bible.
Not safe, but good: Why it is important to read your Bible in chronological order and how to do it
Paperback, 9.99
For any book to make sense, you need to read it in the order the events talked about in the book happened. That seems pretty obvious, but that isn’t how our Bibles are organized, and that is a major reason that trying to read through the Bible can be confusing. But there is another way!
I wrote this book to explain why we are in the situation we are and to explain why reading our Bibles in Chronological, Historical Order (the order things happened) will benefit us and help us to grow in our Christian lives. It has been available as a download on the Bible805 site, but this paperback form is easier to read (and with the cost of print pages, a good buy for a group).
The book also contains a selection of schedules and blank journal pages in a variety of styles that you can print and share.
