In addition to helping you know, trust, and apply the Bible, I want to help you TEACH the Bible, so I created the Bible805 Academy. In short, the Academy will give you everything you need to teach the lessons I’ve taught you on the Bible805 website, podcasts, and videos. Following is a brief video introduction and below the video, more explanatory material.—
I created the Bible805 Academy, especially for people from small churches, church plants, churches, or groups that don’t have money or access to Bible teaching materials or the time to create their own. To make that even more possible I recently made the entire Academy materials FREE or PWYW (pay-what-you-want).
Shortly after doing that, a person from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia downloaded dozens of lessons and my joy and thanks were intense. I’m praying many more will take advantage of the materials.
At the Academy, you can find teaching resources including PowerPoints (many with the editable original files), videos, podcasts, notes, and questions that you can simply use as is or you can modify them to create your lessons. You do not have to credit or acknowledge me for any of the materials, I know that with some audiences a female teaching is not acceptable. I am content to be the research assistant in the background or invisible. My prayer is that many use the materials to get the Word out there!
The materials on the Bible805 Academy result from decades of study and teaching Bible classes by me, Yvon Prehn, and have helped many people grow in their Christian lives and as disciples of Jesus.
God has given me both the academic and experiential background to put together these materials including an MA in history with an emphasis in the history of the church, additional graduate work in seminary and communications, plus decades of teaching Bible classes in person and online.
There is an ever-growing collection of lessons, as I continue to teach weekly and am uploading lessons to the site as often as possible. Some topics include How We Got the Bible; Why We Can Trust the Bible, Life after Death, The Trinity, and many other topics, including a series of Through the Bible lessons.
